This is Moxie. She was surrendered to the Jackson County Humane Society in Newport, Arkansas and is in our care there. She was nearly starved, and was scared of strangers when she came in. We have fed her up, and she is much better with strangers now, but and can be a bit shy when first meeting someone. She warms up quickly if given love and attention. We are really not sure what breeds she might be, although she looks almost identical to a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix we already had. She was spayed on Nov. 2, 2012, at which time she weighed 16 pounds. We think she was born early to mid 2011, but again, are not sure. She is up to date on her shots, and tested heart worm negative on Nov. 2. She is on heart worm preventative.
The adoption fee for Moxie is $275.00. Our costs cover the $125.00 to transport each dog regardless of size and age, as well as, spay / neuter and up-to-date shots. For more information on adoption, please call Rita at
